Hi, I'm Cassie
I move by dancing, both in ballet slippers onstage and barefoot in the kitchen. I recharge by forest-bathing and delight in "komorebi," a Japanese concept of sunlight filtering through the leaves of trees, creating a sort of dance between them. I time-travel to the days of Lucy Maud Montgomery and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and savour the scent of old books. When tending to my native garden and botanical herbs, I feel eternally in awe and appreciation of life and the Earth.
I believe that when you feel your best in mind and body, you can live the fullest expression of yourself. My mission is to help you do just that.
I believe in helping *you* as a whole person, rather than just addressing your symptoms. I help people overcome their barriers to health so that they can feel energized enough to accomplish their career goals, feel fit enough to play a full game of soccer with their kids, and feel well enough in their mind and body to live the fullest expression of themselves.
Why hum when you can belt out opera?
With my unashamedly untrained voice, my dog's poor ears might have something else to say on the matter.
But I do rather delight in the little joys of life.
But I didn't always feel this alive and well. Even though my medical tests showed everything was "within normal range," I felt that something was off. It was my introduction to Bowen Therapy which helped me see subtle yet profound shifts in my health to get back to feeling like me again – doing the things I love, like spontaneous dance sessions and unabashedly untrained opera singing! (ahem, see above)
As a Certified Bowen Practitioner, I encourage the body to heal itself. Bowen is a gentle physical therapy that works on the autonomic nervous system, helping to reduce pain, promote relaxation, and improve wellbeing. Bowen is neither chiropractic nor massage, but rather uses a sequence of precise moves on certain muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves. I completed my training at the Canadian Bowenwork School in 2017 under the instruction of Dr. Derek Murphy, ND.
