As a Naturopathic Medical Intern, I believe in treating *you* as a whole person, rather than just addressing your symptoms. I help people overcome their barriers to health so that they can feel energized enough to accomplish their career goals, feel fit enough to play a full game of soccer with their kids, and feel well enough in their mind and body to live the fullest expression of themselves.
I believe in treating *you* as a whole person,
rather than just addressing your symptoms. As a Naturopathic Intern, I help people overcome their barriers to health so that they can feel energized enough to accomplish their career goals, feel fit enough to play a full game of soccer with their kids, and feel well enough in their mind and body to live the fullest expression of themselves.
Naturopathic medicine takes a patient-centred approach to healthcare by using safe, effective and evidence-based natural treatments that are individualized to fit your needs. In addition to studying biomedical and clinical sciences during my training as a primary care provider, I have many different tools in my medical bag; I help patients with clinical nutrition, lifestyle counselling, physical medicine, botanical medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, all while under the supervision of licensed Naturopathic Doctors.
This approach allows me to address the root cause of disease, remove obstacles to healing, and promote the body’s ability
to heal itself.
By educating patients on how to take care of themselves with proper nutrition and lifestyle choices, naturopathic medicine encourages sustainable health and optimal wellbeing.
Each bite of food either contributes to disease or to health. I can develop a personalized diet guideline for you to ensure that you're getting and absorbing the nutrients you need to address your health concern and optimize your energy.
TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE
For millennia, this ancient medicine has used acupuncture and herbs to restore imbalances, remove blockages, and tonify
organs in the body. Modern research is showing that TCM is both safe and effective.
I use safe, evidence-based botanical medicines to address specific health concerns and encourage the body to maintain its natural state of health. Botanical medicines are effective and have a lower side-effect profile than many pharmaceuticals.
I provide patients with individualized tools to manage stress, encourage restorative sleep, promote physical activity, and establish a healthy work-life balance as pillars of health and wellbeing.
Physical modalities including spinal manipulation, hydrotherapy, laser, ultrasound, and massage can reduce pain and inflammation, promote relaxation, and speed recovery post-injury.
